Assuming you are starting from Firelink Shrine, the best way to get to Undead Crypt is by going through the Catacombs of Carthus. From Firelink Shrine, take the elevator down to New Londo Ruins. Go straight and take a left at the first fork, then another left at the second fork.

This will lead you into a room with a bunch of coffins and a large skeleton sitting in a chair. Kill the skeleton and go through the door behind it. You will now be in the Catacombs of Carthus.

Keep following the path until you reach an area with 3 different paths that you can take. Take the path on your right and follow it until you come to a room with 3 more paths that branch off from it. Take the middle path and keep following it until you come across another room with 3 different paths leading off from it.
